Stabilizer® is a porous (permeable) hard surfacing alternative to Macadam.

Stabilizer® binds and locks crushed stone screenings to provide a durable, natural aggregate surface in every naturally available colour. The surface substantially resists the erosive effects of weather and light traffic, making it the ideal path construction method.

Once blended with the aggregate, the Stabilizer® absorbs water and binds the particles together.  The result is a natural-looking path for pedestrians, trolleys and buggies that blends into its native surroundings and is also strong enough to withstand daily traffic. Once dry, this surface will re-absorb a limited amount of water and remain porous (permeable), yet will retain its firmness, even in very wet conditions.

Strength of graded aggregates can be increased by 300% with the addition of Stabilizer®.
